Spreading the Positive
Having a positive attitude is what gets me up each morning. It is hard sometimes to stay positive, but my family and friends help keep me on a positive path when I am veering off to the side. I am very lucky to have such a healthy support system at my finger tips. Not everyone has that in their lives.
I hope when visiting this page you will leave with a positive attitude and be inspired to pass it on to someone in need. I hope to brighten your day so that you can brighten the day of another. I hope together we can build a support system for anyone who needs it and create new positive connections.
I will be sharing on these pages things that inspire me, and things that make me feel happy. I will share travels, hobbies, and memories. I will share music that I find uplifting and inspirational. I will have favorite recipes that are health conscious and some that are not.
Anything that makes my day and yours a happier place to be is what I am hoping we can share with each other. We can share photos of our family, friends and pets. We can share with one another stories. We can pass on to one another favorite books and movies. Anything and everything that puts a positive outlook into our daily lives is what this page is all about.
Why is being positive, staying positive and spreading positive so important to me. The answer to that explains how a new path was chosen for me and I am sharing my story with all of you on my “About Me” page.

A New Path
I started this new journey after being told I had Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Fluid from my lung and spine came back positive for cancer. X-rays showed several small fractures in the thoracic region and the MRI showed a serious Pathological Fracture of the Vertebra in the L-5 region. The L-5 fracture was extremely dangerous because it was resting on my spinal cord. My life as I knew it only hours ago were gone forever.
For me time stopped. Everything I was, everything I knew, and everything I was going to be was now in the past. The only future for me that was certain was the Oncologist, the Radiologist, and the Orthopedic Surgeon. As the hours and days passed, more of my future showed itself, and it wasn’t pretty.
I came out of the hospital a little more than a week later with a completely new way of living, but living I was. I was surrounded by loving family and friends whom I can’t express enough what it meant for me that they were at my side.
That first night in the hospital I was getting one piece of horrible news after another. I couldn’t wrap my head around everything. What got me through that first night were all the hospital staff and Nurses working so hard to get me through the storm. The next day, with all that was so bad, positive pieces were showing up one after another and I knew I was through the worst of it.
I do not know how long this earth will have me, but I hold on to the all the positives that come my way and I live my best life every day. For me every day is about “The Climb”
